With so much information and lack thereof floating around, we thought we’d get back on the phone to the local labs and get the facts. Just the facts! As occasionally rates change, we will update as we receive more information. Check back for updates!
Your results will be required at airport check-in as well as upon landing in the USA.
We called each lab to ensure we had the correct information. If you choose any of the below labs, we suggest calling early first to avoid going during a lunch break… even though no lunch closing hours were given by any of them. While other labs may offer services, we only listed those who answered their phones!
These questions were asked of each lab listed below:
Appointment needed, will they come to you/where they will travel/ extra cost for that service, what documents are needed, cost, type of payment accepted, days and hours, time frame for results and form of sending results, address and phone.
⦁ Zihuatanejo International Airport:
- No appointment necessary.
- Given inside airport only.
- Passport needed.
- $579 ($699 to anyone without an airline ticket).
- Pay by credit card only (Visa or MasterCard only).
- Available daily EXCEPT Thursdays. 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Results in 30 minutes.
- Can receive printed or electronically. App ¨Verifly¨should be downloaded in advance if you prefer electronic results.
- Located inside the airport across from the check-in counters, close to the restaurant area.
⦁ Zihua Lab:
- No appointment necessary.
- They will come to you for extra charge of $300 to Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo, $500 to Playa Linda or Playa Blanca, $600 to Troncones. CASH PAYMENT PREFERABLE if coming to you in case of wifi connection issues.
- Passport or copy needed.
- $1,500 cash or credit card if paying at lab (Visa or MasterCard).
- Available Monday-Saturday 7:00am – 5:00pm.
- Results in 1.5 hours via email.

⦁ Laboratorio del Pacifico:
- No appointment necessary.
- At clinic only.
- Passport needed.
- $1,300; cash only.
- Available Monday-Friday 7:00am – 2:00pm.
- Printed results in 1 hour.

⦁ Laboratorio Clinico Integral:
- Appointment preferred.
- They will come to you in Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo at no extra charge.
- Passport or copy needed.
- $2,000; cash or credit card (Amex, Visa or MasterCard). If they are coming to you, please advise in advance of form of payment.
- Available Monday-Friday 7:15am – 3:00pm; Saturdays 7:30am – 2:00pm.
- Results in 2 hours will be sent by PDF to your email.

⦁ Clinica Mediciel:
- Appointment preferred.
- Done at clinic only.
- Passport or copy needed.
- $2,500; cash, Visa or MasterCard.
- Monday- Saturday; antigen test done at 10:00am only.
- Printed results in 1.5 hours.

⦁ Nucleo de Diagnostico del Pacifico:
- No appointment necessary.
- They will go to you in Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo only for extra charge of $210 per person.
- Passport or copy needed.
- $2,500; cash or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
- Available Monday-Friday 7:30-7:00pm; Saturday 8:00am-2:00pm.
- Results in 1.5 hour; you will be given a QR code to check, if you do not want to return for printed results.

⦁ Laboratorio Sagrado Corazon de Jesus:
- Appointment preferred.
- They will go to you in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo or Playa Linda at no charge. For Playa Blanca or Troncones- no extra charge if you are 3 or more people.
- Passport or copy needed.
- $2,500; cash only outside of lab; testing at lab can be cash or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
- Available Monday-Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm.
- Results in 4 hours via email.
