Sometimes it’s all about the coffee. Even for a Foodie.
Mexico has good coffee, and plenty of places around Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo to find exactly that. But a GREAT cup of coffee? One that isn’t so hot it burns your tongue? One that is full of flavor, even when you leave it sit while you eat, to finish it after breakfast? One that does not need anything added to give it flavor or tone it down? With that little foam around the edges that tells you it was freshly made, just for you. Thankfully, we have exactly that here in Zihuatanejo at Cuattro Casa de Cafe (formerly known as Cuattro Cycle Cafe).
Oh, that delicious cup of java. The beautiful brew that gets one going in the morning. I’ll take mine black, the way it was meant to be. Our friends rave about their cappuccinos, and we have been known to stop by for an espresso (equally as gorgeous to the tongue)- but Zihua and I stick to the basic pure cup of java.
I will sing their praises at a later date about the delicious dishes and treats they offer, that they are pet friendly and that they quietly give back to the community. But for right now- it’s all about the coffee. And hands down, Cuattro Casa de Cafe has no rival.
